LIDOtips - Carrots
We all, at some point, heard our mothers tell us that eating our carrots would help us see at night, and so to hurry up and just eat what was on our plate! While that is true, there is SO much more that they could have told us on the benefits of munching on a delicious carrot 🥕 (which by the way come in more colors than just orange: purple, yellow, white or red).
These crunchy treats are a good source of fiber, vitamins and minerals. They are mostly made up of water and carbohydrates, which make them a great addition to any weight loss journey. They are low in calories and leave you feeling fuller for longer.
They are also packed full of beta carotene, an antioxidant that turns in vitamin A. The antioxidant activity helps to promote immune function 💪🏼 However, beware of eating too many otherwise you will start to go a yellowy, orangey color!!
