Fig & Orange Carpaccio
An easy-to-make refreshing fruit delight!
Figs and oranges are a great duo, balancing between sweetness of the figs and bitterness (sometimes) of oranges. Serve the fig and orange carpaccio for breakfast or even as a light desert - perfect paired with fior di late ice cream.
Ingredients (serves 4)
6 oranges
8 figs
3-4 sprigs of mint
cinnamon (optional)
Method
Peal the oranges and cut them in half. Gently slicing them legthwise and crosswise
Place the orange in circle on a small plate. From the outside towards the inside of the plate
Wash the figs and cut them in half. Gently slicing them crosswise
Lay the fig onto the oranges, arranging them the same way
Wash the mint and cut a few leaves which you can place over the orangeand fig layers, at the center of the plate.
Optional: Sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon
