Summer is here, and despite 2020 not looking quite how we had expected, we are able to make a long awaited escape from the city!
We have brought together our favorite brands and products to help you pack only the best of what is available at the moment. Please let us know in the comments if you have tried any of them and what you think!
The Beach Edit
Soludos have long been a firm favorite. Inspired by the traditional Spanish summer shoes, the fun designs really make them stand out, and there is really something for everyone. Whether you want them flat or with a little platform for more height, you will find the espadrille for you there.
Solid & Striped carry every shape and shade that you can possibly think of! When they started they only did “solid” or “striped” costumes, but now there is something for everyone, including beachwear, shades and shoes. The quality is fantastic and you can even customize some of the costumes too!
The Brave Collection is a company very close to our hearts. Founder Jessica Hendricks Yee founded the company to provide jobs for artisans in Cambodia and expose them to an international clientele. For the most part, the team is made of women from underprivileged backgrounds, who are able to work around caring for their children. Additionally, 10% of all sales go to helping combat human trafficking in the country.
Though we only showed you one of their bracelets here, all their pieces are truly beautiful and we hope that you will check them out, and support a great cause!
Kriola Branca Jewellery - these beautiful pieces are all handcrafted in Switzerland, using semi-precious natural stones. You can order via Instagram, but do it quickly, because when new pieces go up they sell out quickly!
The Style Edit
Rhode Resort was born from a desire to create pieces that would be immune to passing fads and trends. Sure enough, their dresses are a joy to wear, year in, year out. They are investment pieces that will stay in your wardrobe for years to come. The quality is fantastic, and all their prints are made in house.
Ancient Greek Sandals are made using traditional methods, that go back centuries. They use chemical free, natural leather and it shoes. These are some of the most comfortable summer sandals out there and they really do last! There are so many styles to pick from too!
The Beauty Edit
Last, but by no means least, our beauty picks!
Let me start with True Botanicals, of who I have become an ardent fan in the last few months. I was sent their Pure Radiance Oil at the start of the year, along with one of their moisturizers. To put this into context, I have never been a face oil user. I have always kept a fairly simple routine, using a good moisturizer (different for night and day, of course), and doing regular face masks.
The first day I began using the oil, I did so with few expectations, and mostly worried that my face would become a greasy mess and that I would break out and regret it. By the end of the day my skin felt good, and less tired than usual. A fluke, I thought! But no. After using it every single day for a week, I felt like I looked brighter, and so I definitely felt it. Needless to say, I have continued to use it and there is no way back for me now! My skin feels softer, there is a glow, even on the longest and most draining days.

Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse - an absolute classic, to be used without moderation all summer long! (It’s also great in winter). This dry oil is what gives our arms and legs their shine at the end of a long day baking in the sun. It nourishes and rehydrates, leaving skin silky smooth. It can also be used on your hair, to keep it protected and hydrated all summer long. Summer doesn’t officially start until the Huile Prodigieuse has made an appearance!
As a side note, I also used this throughout pregnancy and my skin thanked me for it!
Lierac Hydragenist Lip Balm was a new discovery this summer. We always forget that our lips need just as much protection and rehydration from sun exposure. While this balm doesn’t have an SPF, it is one of the most hydrating lip salves we have ever used! It is packed with shea butter, vitamin E and hyaluronic acid, and leaves a glossy effect. This balm is definitely joining the regular rotation of Lido products!
