Feeling a little nostalgic about your last holiday by the sea?
We have great ways to bring you a taste of the Mediterranean, right into your plate!
The star of the show today is *Rosemary*... With its delicious fragrance, rosemary has tons of health benefits including vitamin B6, iron, calcium. Also, a rich source of antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds, while improving digestion.
Whether you are vegan or a meat lover, a sprig of rosemary can be added to any type of dish. And since we love this evergreen herb so much, we even found a way to mix it to your desserts and drinks!
Ingredients
450ml water
400g cane sugar
4-6 rosemary sprigs
Method
Bring the water to a boil.
Add the cane sugar and the rosemary sprigs and boil the mixture for 1 minute; stirring constantly to dissolve the sugar.
Remove the pan from the heat and let it infuse for 30 minutes to an hour depending on how strong you'd like it to be.
Once cooled, pour the syrup through a sieve and a funnel, into a sterilized glass jar which can be closed and stored in the fridge.
The syrup can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
