Feeling a little nostalgic about your last holiday by the sea?

The star of the show today is *Rosemary*... With its delicious fragrance, rosemary has tons of health benefits including vitamin B6, iron, calcium. Also, a rich source of antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds, while improving digestion. 

Whether you are vegan or a meat lover, a sprig of rosemary can be added to any type of dish. And since we love this evergreen herb so much, we even found a way to mix it to your desserts and drinks!

Ingredients

  • 450ml water

  • 400g cane sugar

  • 4-6 rosemary sprigs

Method

  • Bring the water to a boil.

  • Add the cane sugar and the rosemary sprigs and boil the mixture for 1 minute; stirring constantly to dissolve the sugar.

  • Remove the pan from the heat and let it infuse for 30 minutes to an hour depending on how strong you'd like it to be.

  • Once cooled, pour the syrup through a sieve and a funnel, into a sterilized glass jar which can be closed and stored in the fridge.

The syrup can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
