Focaccia
When people think of making bread, they think of a never ending task, a true labor of love.
However, making bread doesn’t have to be a terrifying prospect, with hours of kneading and proving. Focaccia is the perfect introduction to bread making and can be made as simple or as elaborate as you feel comfortable with. You can pack it with so many different flavors and really make it your own!

Ingredients
470 g flour
16g sugar
115g milk
12g fine salt
5g yeast
230g water (room temperature)
45g olive oil
To seasonrosemary
salt flakes
Method
Mix together the yeast and sugar, then add it to a mixing bowl with the flour
Mix the milk and water together
Turn the mixer on the dry goods then start slowly adding the water and milk mix
Next add the oil
Continue to mix/ knead until you notice that the mixture has taken on a firmer consistency
Add the salt and continue to mix/knead for 15 minutes
Transfer the mixture to a bowl, cover with cling film and leave it to prove for two hours or until the dough has doubled in size
When the dough is ready, grease a pan or baking tray with high sides. Also grease your hands then pour the dough into the pan, and spread it evenly using your fingers
Cover it once again and leave to prove for another hour
Use your fingers to create dimples in the dough, then pour some oil on it and sprinkle it with rosemary and salt flakes
Bake it in the oven at 180C for 35-40 minutes, in the lower part of your oven
