Guacamole
Coming straight out of Mexico, guacamole is one of our favorites..!
... as a dip while having a drink, as a spread on toast for brunch, or just to complement a spicy chili. A very versatile dish, yet super easy to make. Try our version of the recipe and let us know how you like it in the comments!
Ingredients (serves 2 as a side)
2 ripe avocados
1/4 of a small red onion
1/2 tomato (optional)
the juice of 1/2 lime
a few sprigs of cilantro (depending on how much you like it!)
salt, pepper, garlic, and chili powder to taste
Method
Slice the avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop into a mixing bowl
Dice the red onion and the tomato and add to the avocado
Wash and slice the cilantro into very thin strips
Add the lime juice and season to taste
PS: We have made it optional to add tomatoes to the mix to make it easier (and less messy) to serve your guacamole not only with chips, but also with carrot or celery sticks, if you wish to. ;)
